A QSL from W1BCG
This station, with the special call sign, was set up to commemorate the
75th anniversary of the first amateur radio station to span the Atlantic
Ocean, 1BCG. The original transmitter was recreated and operated on 160
and 75 meter CW. The location was only a few miles from the site of the
old 1BCG station. The AWA was the driving force behind this station and
two AMers, Tim, N2GIG and Bob W2ZM were heavily involved.
Tim saw to it that a few "bonus" AM transmissions were made and
some lucky AMers were able to work this historic call.
