| The 1200 Foot Tower |
This 1200 foot tower is fed as a vertical radiator. You can see the umbrella of wires suspended from the top, forming a capacitive loading top-hat. The ends of the top-hat wires are supported by eight 600 foot towers. This is a BIG antenna system. Note the three feeds at the 300, 600 and 900 foot levels. Photo:W7QHO |
